LACSON SOTTO TO TAKE PH OUT OF CRISES

Partido Reporma presidential bet Senator Panfilo Lacson and his running-mate Senate President Vicente Sotto have vowed to lead the Philippines out of the crises it is in.
In an ad released on national TV, Lacson and Sotto said the nation is facing the crises of poverty, the absence of health services, lack of government support, surging criminality and a crisis in leadership, all of which were highlighted when the country underwent the Covid pandemic.
“Kung gusto nating magbago ang ating buhay, ito ay nasa ating mga kamay. Kung tayo ay pipili ng lider ng hinog sa kakayahan, sanay sa labanan at subok sa karanasan,” the ad said.
It further distinguished the Lacson-Sotto tandem from other candidates as “mga lider na may utak ang tapang at tapang ang utak.”
“Wakasan ang lagim at yakapin ang liwanag” the ad ended, as it implored on voters to choose Lacson and Sotto during the May 2022 elections.
Lacson in previous speeches likens the Philippines to a man sent to an intensive care unit for treatment.
“Kapag kayo po ba ay nasa ICU, sino po ang pipiliin ninyo: yung isang guwapo na kaga-graduate lang ng medisina, o yung isang may karanasan na at marami nang napagaling?” Lacson asked.
Among the candidates, it is only Lacson-Sotto who’ve been actively presenting to the people a clear platform of governance, which they seek to further improve through consultations during the weekly Online-Kumustahan.
The tandem wanted to empower local government units in charting their progress through the Budget Reform Advocacy for Village Empowerment (BRAVE) program.  They also promised more money for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) but would want the program retooled so the financial assistance program would be more than “pantawid” but “pang-ahon sa kahirapan.”
Lacson-Sotto also promised that citizens seeking medical assistance in government hospitals will not shell out a single centavo.
Farmers, fisherfolk and other food producers on the other hand will be given assistance – from seeds, fertilizers, farm to market roads as well technical and marketing assistance.  Lacson is the author of the Free Irrigation Law which has benefitted farmers.
They also advocate financial assistance for medium, small and micro enterprises, which have been crippled by the pandemic.
