Tubod, Lanao del Norte - Mr. Samir Ambola, the newly installed Officer in Charge of the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), recently paid a courtesy visit to Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza Dimaporo at her office last December 7, 2021.
Governor Dimaporo warmly welcomed the new PENRO along with his company, Mr. Saiben Mampao, and Ms. Shelomith Barrientos.
During the visit, Governor Dimaporo shared her insights about the Province of Lanao del Norte, a peaceful province bound with rich natural resources even tourist spots.
Moreover, Governor Dimaporo informed Ambola of the ongoing strategical environmental plans in the province, including the lake's development in the Municipality of Nunungan.
Ambola, on the other hand, presented his plans to produce more volume of trees in every community. A project to establish reforestation in the Municipality of SND was also mentioned in their discussion.
"In this year-end, we intend to plant trees and ornamental species along the highways not just for beautification but also for ecological restoration," Ambola said.
