TUBOD, LANAO DEL NORTE - Former Presidential Spokesperson and at the same time senatorial candidate Salvador Panelo paid a visit to Governor Imelda ‘Angging’ Quibranza Dimaporo on Thursday, December 9, 2021, along with the other senatorial aspirants from the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-LABAN), Mr. Reynante “Rey” Magat Langit, Usec. Aztra Moon Naik of the Department of Energy and the veteran actor who will also run as senator for the 2022 election, Mr. Robinhood ‘Robin’ Cariรฑo Padilla. 

With the Second District Representative Congressman Abdullah Dimakuta Dimaporo, Governor Dimaporo welcomed all the guests in the Governor's Office, situated at the Arsenio A Quibranza Building, Pigcarangan, Tubod.

The visit paved the way to closely discuss various plans and programs of the National Government and the projects each will implement should they win the 2022 senatorial elections. 

Governor Dimaporo said, “What the province needs right now is to boost the agricultural sector. We are hoping that whoever wins the upcoming elections, will help us continue the projects that will alleviate the livelihood of our local farmers.”

On his interview, Robin Padilla shared his insights about the importance of advancing the farming system of every Filipinos, ”Isa kami sa mga tinamaan ng rice tariffication law. Sa halip na mag import tayo nga mga produkto galing sa ibang bansa, dapat ay bigyan natin ng tugon ang pangangailangan ng bawat magsasaka natin.”
(We are one of those affected by the rice tariffication law. Instead of importing products from other countries, we must respond to the needs of each of our farmers.)

Panelo also lauded the efforts of the Provincial Government in curtailing the spread of the virus.

“Right now, we only have seven active cases here in our Province. We are also the only one in Region 10 to have our own Molecular COVID-19 Laboratory.” Governor Dimaporo proudly noted.

The group was accompanied by well-wishers, mainly composed of Robin Padilla’s Muslim friends and supporters from Sultan Naga Dimaporo, where they visited prior to their appointment in the provincial capitol.
