In a gesture of solidarity and support, the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte led by Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza-Dimaporo on Thursday, February 15, has extended financial assistance to families impacted by the ipo-ipo that hit Poblacion, Kolambugan town last December 25, 2023.

Six families recovering from the damages left by the ipo-ipo last Christmas found respite as they received the checks handed over by Governor Angging at her Conference Room in the Provincial Government Center, Pigcarangan, Tubod.

The distribution of financial aid tailored to the specific needs of the affected families. Two households, whose residences were tragically rendered totally damaged, were granted P30,000 each to facilitate their rebuilding efforts. Meanwhile, four families who incurred partial damages received a financial grant of P20,000 each, acknowledging the challenges they face in restoring their homes and livelihoods.

"We at the Provincial Government, through our Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, seek to alleviate the burdens faced by the affected families. We stand with our constituents, especially in times of crisis,". (PIO- PGLDN)
